A practice based workshop incorporating trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation techniques integrated with Indigenous practices and perspectives to promote balance and resiliency.
Presented by the First Peoples' Justice Centre of Montreal, this workshop is intended to support victims and survivors of crime and trauma. Participants are invited to reflect and share in a circle, use traditional medicines, including tobacco, sage, cedar, sweetgrass and an eagle feather. Participants will co-create a safe space to explore how breath, movement, alignment, stillness and the vibration of the drum can promote healing.
